What Got You Started In Fitness?

- I started my fitness journey because my own health was declining. I said to myself that I'm too young to die and something has to change! I chose fitness and health over medications and hospital stays!

What's Your Motivation?

- My motivation is LIFE!! God isn't through with me yet and my work here isn't done! My kids and nieces still need me and I refuse to have my parents bury me!

How Do You Balance Staying In Shape with Your Lifestyle?

- You MAKE time for the things you want to do and accomplish. It's as simple as that! You're either going to do it or you're not!

What's Some Advice or Encouragement That You Would Give Others?

- Always strive to be the best version of yourself. It's YOU vs. YOU!!! You're never going to finish if you don't start and you'll never see victory if you always quit!

- My name is Angela. I am a wife, mother of two beautiful 7yr old twin daughters (Dallas & Kyrie) and I work full time. I have been married 2yrs to my amazing husband and high school sweetheart Lance. I am currently in my 9th year with the City of Lakeland as a recreation Supervisor. 

What Got You Started In Fitness?

- I've always been into fitness being a former athlete, but I was always inconsistent. I was one who thought I could eat what I wanted and then workout and everything would be ok. I eventually got tired of the yo yo!!

What's Your Motivation?

- My motivation is my family. I want to be the best version of myself for them. I want my girls to know that it's ok to be a woman and be strong & fit! Being strong and fit is the new sexy!!

How Do You Balance Staying In Shape with Your Lifestyle?

- To be honest, I have no idea!! I just make up my mind that I'm going to do it and I do it. It's me vs. me! I like to look good so I'm going to do whatever it takes to achieve that!

What's Some Advice or Encouragement That You Would Give Others?

- The best advice I can give someone on this journey is "Get Ya Mind Right!" because if you don't have your mind made up, you won't do it. There will always be an excuse or something that comes up. But when you're all in, there's nothing that will stop you!!

-My name is Alexis Satchel and I'm from Mulberry, FL. I'm a graduate of Florida State University and Louisiana State University and currently working on obtaining my doctorate next. Currently, I work in corporate America in a Global Supply Chain Accounting role and  a part-time lifestyle blogger. Although my last name is currently Satchel, it will be Lewis come May 2021 as I marry the love of my life, with whom we share a fur baby together named Aloha.

 

What Got You Started In Fitness?

-To be frank, once I developed a double chin and back fat, I knew I didnt want to become that girl who's uncomfortable with her nakedness. I knew if I didnt get the fat under control, it would control me! At that point it would start to interfere with my self esteem and confidence.

 

What's Your Motivation?

-My current motivation is to be able to fit effortlessly in my wedding gown, but to also kick-start my new life. I refuse to be the unfit mother and/or wife especially once the babies start rolling in. I knew in my mind that I wanted to maintain an appearance for the rest of my life that I can manage, no matter my age!

 

How Do You Balance Staying In Shape with Your Lifestyle?

-Honestly, I don't know how I'm managing to balance everything! But I don't rely on that excuse of being too busy to not take care of me. The truth is, I knew I had time to dedicate to fitness when my phone alerted me on how much time I spent on my phone scrolling through social media. I was averaging 8hrs a day on social media and I knew I could fill that time with beneficial things such as working on my fitness and meal prepping.

 

What's Some Advice or Encouragement That You Would Give Others?

-My encouragement is get up and work on you! You cannot rely on anyone else to put your life first besides yourself! You have the power to get up and move your feet! Nobody can lose the weight or change your diet for you. So when you're mentally ready, we'll be right here to push you to new limits. You can do it! You're POWERFUL!

- I am Leteski and I'm from a little city called Lake Alfred. I am 31yrs old and have been in a my relationship for almost 9yrs. I have no children and I am a Trial Clerk for the Bartow courthouse.

What Got You Started In Fitness?

- I began my fitness journey at age 29 when my primary care physician diagnosed me as pre-diabetic. I was at my heaviest weight of 315lbs. I began walking and lost 30lbs over a 4 month period but then I hit a plateau because I had not changed my eating habits and was not challenging myself. I realized that it had to be a lifestyle change and exercise alone was not going to help me reach my goals. One day I needed an outfit for an event but when I went in the store, I was unable to find what I needed because my size was not available. From that day forward it motivated me to stay true to myself and to remain consistent with my lifestyle change.

What's Your Motivation?

- I told myself that I want to walk in the store and purchase whatever I want without having to worry about them not having my size. I also reminded myself that I have a purpose on this earth and I want to live out my purpose.

How Do You Balance Staying In Shape with Your Lifestyle?

- On days that I am tired, I still push myself because my goals won't be reached by themselves. Remain consistent and push through those tough days. I am a planner so I schedule my workouts ahead of time but it's never the same time everyday.

What's Some Advice or Encouragement That You Would Give Others?

- Celebrate small goals and remember to do what works for you but never give up on the process!!
